+ In Pre-Processing I created a table based on a georeferenced layer I uploaded earlier. It then puts this table automatically into my list of layers. But when I click on that table/layer, it is not georeferenced like the original basefile but is located somewhere in the middle of the Atalantic.   '''<span style="color:blue">I fixed the error. Only layers of type Covergae, Point, Polygon, Feature are visible and can be added to the map. May be you need to add this to the help.</span>'''

++ I tried again, it still adds it to the table and is not georeferenced - I shred this layer (testnodfsf) with you to check.

Bugs that need to be tested live together

Following bugs seem to be a bit of a confusion since they seem to appear for some and not others. This may be a communication or browser issue. They should be resolved live.

+ Editing point symbology based on filters does not work (tried with Mekong and West Bengal data). They do not change after closing the symbology tab, the lines with edited symbology disappear. (JAKOB)

+ The Table is still misplaced [1], so are all plots. I have now tested it on Firefox and Chrome where it does not work. (JAKOB)

I can't reproduce this error. Tested on chrome, Firefox, safari, internet explorer. Can anybody else reproduce this error?

Resolved Bugs

I moved this to an external document for the time, as the scrolling gets on my nerves ...

Remaining Bugs

Base Map

+ The Google Earth Base Map has a limit in the north and south - if you zoom in you can not look at northern Scandinavia for example, all of Siberia, and northern Canada gone too [2] (JAKOB)

Upload Function

+ I tried to upload a zip file with shp files. It throws the following error message ([3]) even though no subdirectories are included (Zip file includes: dbf, prj, sbn, sbx, shp, shx)

Could you share your zip file? I am sure there is a sub-directory in your zip file.

+ Two text edits to make: (1) in the box confirming that one wants to overwrite a layer, and (2) in the error message about a missing .dbf when uploading a shapefile-containing .zip file (JOEL) [4] [5]

NOT FIXED: Second sentence is currently "Please consult with the provided help". It should be "Please consult the provided help." That is, remove "with" and add a period. JOEL

+ Text edits to error message resulting when uploading shapefile with different .zip and .shp filenames: should make "Shapefile" lowercase and divide into two sentences, "Mismatch between shapefile and zip folder names. They should be exactly the same." (JOEL) [6]

  Fixed

Map Layers

+ Editing point symbology based on filters does not work (tried with Mekong and West Bengal data). They do not change after closing the symbology tab, the lines with edited symbology disappear. (JAKOB, ANNETTE, JOEL)

I can't reproduce this bug. Do you apply your changes?
This works for me now. I do not remember the circumstances of previous testing. Bug can be closed from my point of view.(JOEL)

++ Unfortunately for me in Firefox this still does not work. I will add it to the list of things we need to test live together on two different browsers at least. (JAKOB)

+ Geology layers (age & lithology): the light, transparent grey of each layer that signifies continents without the geology in question (value=0) obscures all other layers. The problem becomes acute after adding several geology layers. This is particularly a problem if one would like to display many different geology types at once. (JOEL)

It is not a bug. I fixed the styles and upon the next update, they should look fine.

My Layers

+ After I shared a layer to the public I can not unshare it anymore. [7]. (JAKOB)

  Fixed

General

+ To share with a user I always have to know the first three letters of his/her email adress to find the correct one. This should be better searchable (Name, parts of email adress, etc). (JAKOB)

Need to be discussed in the meeting. There were some reservation about this search function.

Raster Data

+ Upload of simple raster data failed [8]. Data is here: http://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/50m-raster-data/ (JAKOB)

I Checked your raster, it is a multi-band raster. We only support single-band rasters. User gets a proper message now

++ Uploading Rasters of tif formats still does not work and the error messages handed down are impossible to interpret [9]. When it throws the error for multiband raster, there is still illegible text attached to it [10]. Also in the help it states at the moment that when a multiband is supplied only the first band is used. (JAKOB)

I removed the stack-trace from the message. It was there for debugging the application. You should make sure your rasters are in a right projection system. Could you share your raster?

Polygon Data

++ I tried to upload the folder again (all correct file names after I cleaned the original folder) and it says there are subdirectories in the file which there are not. [11]. (JAKOB)

Please share your zip file. I am sure there is at least one sub-directory in your zip file.
Apparently mac adds a hidden sub-directory to the zip file. I modified the code to ignore this sub-directory.

Modeling

Descriptive Statistics

+ Generally, my Statistical Analysis Panel is not correctly displayed on Mac OS X (Safari, 8.0.6). All tables extend beyond the right edge of the popup window and there is no possiblity to shift. (TOBIAS)

 Not tested for Safari

+ The window of the graph in Descriptive Statistics does not show correctly. [12]. One can not the see full graph. (JAKOB)

Modeling

+ Opening the first Model Results, results are not visualized properly and it is not possible to enlarge the window. Also the axes of the scatter plot are not displayed fully but are covered partially. [13]. (JAKOB)

Couldn't reproduce the bug. Which browser? - Firefox

Visualization Errors

Global Maps

+ When 'Base Map' and 'Country Boders' is selected ([14]), the map looks horrible. Country borders should not additionally have country names, these are duplicates. The emphasixed borders are fine. (JAKOB, TOBIAS)

Well they are two base maps. Normally one selects only one base map. We can automatically toggle between them, so only one could be checked. I do not agree with your second command.

Must haves

Main Page

+ All those different windows opening need to have fixed spots - otherwise after a while the page looks really confusing to the user when these windows can be shifted around freely [15] (JAKOB)

 Dont agree.

Register Page / Login

+ Texts for Disclaimer (Legal Issues) and email to registered user (standard text) need to be written. (JAKOB)

Should be provided by EAWAG partners.

Account

+ This Site: http://test-gap.eawag.ch/GAP.Protected/Manage has to be extended to provide: (o) choose whether your contact details can be visible to others. (o) Add your name, contact details, Affiliation. (JAKOB)

  First comment is alrady implemented

Community

+ If I send a message within my community to all community members, I can not open this message in the panel (see screenshot: [16]). It has to open once I double click on it. Ideally it would send an automatic email to all community members. (JAKOB, TOBIAS)

My Layers

Public Layers

+ There has to be a check on layers being uploaded publicly - they need to be approved by an administrator first, otherwise the database visible to everyone can quickly become spammed. (JAKOB)

Ambiguous, To be discussed in the next meeting

+ All publicly supplied layers and privately uploaded layers have the (i) for data information one line pushed down [17] (JAKOB)

Style problem. fixed it for chrome and firefox

Nice to have

+ The Sending a message to Community does not seem to work anymore [18]. Also when it still worked and messages showed up, the message was not sent to the group's emails. (Jakob)

The message is not sent to the community members. This is a new feature and we have to decide if we want to have this new feature. Move this one to the nice to have section.

Wiki

+ I think that for the correct format of Input files we need a screenshot or even a template file that can be filled by users, otherwise they will upload formats that cause trouble. I think the explanation currently available on the Wiki is clear but could be improved (can also be done by someone else than Manouchehr), see following Link [19] (JAKOB)

+ In statistics only a cumulative plot is available. That is not necessary helpful. Rather a boxplot with the distribution of values showing the range and confidence intervals. Also the Table could be improved, as right now all values are just listed underneath each other. Also it says 'owned by undefined' even though it should automatically be associated to me as the user who uploaded it. (JAKOB)

General Comments

+ Many actions (like sharing or unsharing layers publicly) only come into effect after the page is reloaded. They should rather take effect immediately, otherwise this is confusing to the user. (JAKOB)

Share/Unshare layers are updated after any action currently.

+ The international rivers database (from hydrosolutions) might be useful to also upload on the site (see here: http://ir-s01.ethz.ch) (TOBIAS)

Tasks to be taken over by team members (non - programming)

Apart from bugs/changes that need to be conducted in the back-end by programming, there are parts of the site ("Content") that needs to be written and/or checked by team members, ideally by English native speakers.

+ writing disclaimer (Data Ownership, legal issues, etc.)

+ writing Wiki Page / How - to - use - the - site

+ mouse overs

+ all error messages and other notifications
